Palin to headline National Tea party convention

2008 was quite a year. But what is next?

They're taking a real chance with this. She might quit in the middle of her speech.

Hell, she's libel to cancel before the event.

What a racket this tea party crap has become.

I keep thinking of this:

I seem to remember that endeavor ending badly....

You're right about the 'racket'.

They've got to charge high ticket prices, due in part, to Palin's high appearance fee.

And those poor duped teabaggers are so pissed.

Angry teabaggers!

“Sarah Palin should cancel,” says Tony Shreeve, an activist from Dandridge who quit the convention steering committee in November to protest the high ticket prices. “She thinks she’s coming to promote the tea party people there. But in reality, there won’t be tea party people there. The tea party is made up of grassroots people, middle-class, normal, ordinary Americans. They can’t afford this.“

Increasingly disillusioned True Believers!

I am afraid Sarah Palin is going to harm herself unintentionally over this tea party convention in Nashville.

Good Lord! The Repubs have been using and abusing the conservatives for damn long they don't realize that Palin is using and abusing them, too. Teabaggers need to come to grips with the fact that it's all about the money for Palin. And yeah, she's going to harm herself "unintentionally" because she's too stupid to realize that too many of her supporters can't afford to pay for her appearance.

Paln has someone write another column explaining her POV:

http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2010/02/ ... tion-.html

I wonder if they explained the POV they wanted her to have, before, or, after they wrote the column for her....

Who read it to her? Do they use the same person that read to Bush?

She says she won't be benefiting monetarily. Hmmmm. We'll see.

I agree that I don't think she wrote that. That just doesn't sound like her. She wrote her resignation as governor, I have no doubt about that. This piece isn't anything like that.
